Housing and Planning Act 2016

The Housing and Planning Act 2016 received Royal Assent on 13 May.

The Act will implement a number of government policies in housing and planning, including extension of the right to buy to housing associations on a voluntary basis, pay to stay, sale of local authorities’ high value stock, a duty to provide starter homes and automatic planning permission on brownfield sites.
