Welcome to CIPFA Europe

UK map

CIPFA Europe represents the professional interests of CIPFA members living and working in Europe. It has members in 15 countries and is governed in a different way to other branches.

Many CIPFA Europe members are on a career break. Those on a career break in Brussels have attempted to organise independently, with members of other professional institutes, a range of activities that will keep them up to date with professional developments and aid their continuing professional development. They create a positive exchange of ideas and support links with CIPFA in London and ensure these members are supported, whether they are absent from the UK for six months or six years.

Of the members working in Europe, most work on a permanent or temporary basis for one of the European institutions in Brussels or Luxembourg. Others work in the private sector in various countries.

The Prince’s A4S workshop on implementing the TCFD recommendations

26 June 2018

The Prince’s Accounting for Sustainability Project (A4S) and Accountancy Europe host a workshop on implementing the recommendations of the Financial Stability Board’s Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).

As part of a series run by A4S in London, Singapore, Sydney and Toronto, the workshop is designed for those responsible for financial reporting and focuses on the practical steps that can be taken in adopting the TCFD recommendations.

The half day workshop will mix peer to peer presentations and interactive sessions, and will provide insights into approaches being adopted to implement the TCFD recommendations, practical examples of how you can start implementing the recommendations, the ‘data user’s’ point of view – why it matters and what investors will do with these disclosures, broader understanding of climate risk and opportunity and an environment where participants can share and discuss challenges and solutions.

Please RSVP to Kerry Perkins at Kerry.Perkins@royal.uk to secure your place, which will be on a first come first served basis. The workshop is designed for staff with overall responsibility for financial reporting. It will also be able to accommodate a sustainability counterpart if they are accompanied by their finance colleague.

For more details, please contact Kerry Perkins on +44 207 024 7114

Location: Accountancy Europe, Avenue d'Auderghem 22-28, Auderghem, Belgium.

Visit the new Accountancy Europe website for further information.

Regional networks

CIPFA’s thriving regions offer local events, training and networking opportunities. See what’s happening in your region:

Regional forum

A forum for CIPFA members and students in the regions to share ideas, documentation and discuss future plans.

The forum is restricted to CIPFA region members and uses the same login details as the CIPFA website. You will be asked to login if you are not already logged in to the website.

We have produced a guideline document on how to use the forum and some best practice hints and tips to help you get started.

Volunteering in your region

You could help your region to support members and students, in a variety of ways as a regional volunteer. We need the help of willing volunteers and have a broad range of opportunities for any member or student who is interested in getting involved.
