CIPFA unveils health and social care conference

29-08-2019

A health and social care conference, announced today (Tuesday 13 August) by the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA), will examine the nuts and bolts of health and social care integration.

Taking place on Wednesday 30 October 2019, ‘Insights into Integration’ will bring together experts on health and social care policy to look at the current integration landscape, the progress that has been made to date and to address the pressing challenges that remain.

Dr Eleanor Roy, Health and Social Care policy manager, CIPFA, said:

“The health and social care sector is facing the most difficult circumstances in the most challenging times. Rising demand for services mean that less money must stretch further than ever before.

“Integration is key to introducing a place-based approach that improves outcomes for patients, and our new conference offer will explore how resources can best be deployed to achieve this.”

The one-day event forms part of its ongoing programme of work looking at health and social care integration, prevention and place-based public services.
