Event summary

The Certificate in International Public Sector Accounting Standards (Cert IPSAS) introduces trainees to accounting and financial reporting in accordance with IPSAS, providing a solid foundational knowledge of the core published standards. Trainees will gain basic technical knowledge of IPSAS, as well as an understanding of how certain events and transactions in public sector organisations should be treated. It provides the perfect basis to progress to the Diploma in IPSAS.

About this event

The Cert IPSAS learning materials consist of interactive e-learning modules, self-assessment quizzes and supporting workbooks. The course takes approximately 40 hours to complete and trainees can study at their own pace using CIPFA's virtual learning environment.

The Certificate is assessed via online examination. Trainees must achieve a minimum of 60% to pass the examination and may attempt the examination up to four times. On successful completion, trainees are awarded the CIPFA Certificate in IPSAS and can go onto to complete the Diploma in IPSAS.
