CIPFA's Statement on the Role of the CFO in Local Government was last issued in 2010 and describes the role and responsibilities of CFOs in Local Government.
CIPFA is now consulting on the need to update the Statement to deal more explicitly with the roles that CFOs now play in a wider range of delivery mechanisms, such as independent trusts, partnerships and commercial joint ventures. We would also welcome other more general comments on the Statement since our intention is to consult on the details of the proposed changes in the Autumn
