CIPFA's Training Placement Scheme is an innovative and cost-effective recruitment solution for public sector employers in Northern Ireland to train and develop talented individuals to start a career in finance and accountancy.
We recruit and employ accountancy trainees who will work for our partner organisations for up to a three-year fixed-term contract, while studying the CIPFA Professional Accountancy Qualification (CIPFA-PQ).
We're now in our third year of running this successful training programme, with organisations spanning local and central government as well as charities, health and housing sectors.
Why employers should consider the scheme
- It’s cost-effective – you pay a fixed monthly fee over the three years without having to pay the higher cost of recruiting fixed-term resources.
- It’s hassle-free – we’ll manage the recruitment and selection, HR, payroll and training.
- You will have an accountancy trainee with you, learning on the job, while studying our Professional Qualification on a day-release basis.
- At the end of the programme, you decide whether you want to employ the newly qualified chartered accountant as an employee, at no extra cost.
