About the e-learning
Successful projects require robust strategy and execution. Without these elements, projects can fail, leading to financial and operational damage, as well reputational and political damage.
Understanding how to successfully manage small projects by considering the strategic elements, how to plan for detailed activities and how to incorporate robust control and assurance mechanisms is essential in managing public money.
This e-learning covers these areas, focusing on small projects while also providing some contrast with medium and large-sized projects.
Who is it for?
The e-learning is ideal for anyone new to project management.
While large projects often have dedicated and qualified project managers, many managers find themselves with responsibility for lots of small projects and initiatives.
The e-learning provides an overview of best practice and the challenges typically associated with managing small projects.
By the end of the e-learning, you will be able to:
- Differentiate between what is and what is not a project
- Identify the attributes of good and bad project management
- Describe a high-level overview of project framework creation, project life cycle, processes and documentation
- Describe a high-level overview of managing the project and closing the project
There is a short (un-timed) knowledge quiz at the end of the training. You will need to achieve 80% to be awarded the certificate of completion and can take the quiz as many times as needed.
