The Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 requires authorities to publish a notice on their website when they have appointed their new local auditor. The notice should be published within 28 days of the appointment.
For ‘opted-in’ authorities a notice must also be published within 28 days of being notified that an appointment has been made by the appointing person.
