These events focused on providing assurance on the new governance framework for local government: Delivering Good Governance in Local Government and the first year of the annual governance statement to relate to the new framework. As well as advice on implementation, the workshops included case studies of internal audit work on governance and on the contribution of effective scrutiny to good governance.
