Developing Internal Audit Professionalism and Effectiveness

13-12-2018

Our autumn workshops for internal audit professionals examined good practice in annual reporting and the head of internal audit's annual opinion, alongside key considerations when determining the scope of the audit. An update on the CIPFA Statement on the Role of the Head of Internal Audit and the Local Government Application Note was also provided.

Sessions also included the use of analytical tools to improve the efficiency of the audit and how to make best use of comparative data to add insight to audit reports.

The workshops were delivered by Diana Melville, CIPFA's representative on the Internal Audit Standards Advisory Board and Ray Gard, one of CIPFA's EQA assessors. The workshops also featured guest speakers from CIPFA's Research and Analytics team.

Copies of the presentations from the event can be downloaded by BGF subscribers.
