Public Finance Live Scotland Awards

Information on CIPFA Scotland's annual conference and awards, inviting members to nominate colleagues and teams to recognise their excellence in the field of public finance.

The CIPFA Scotland Public Finance Awards recognise excellence in public finance and accountancy. They reward public finance professionals at every level and in every organisation across Scotland, from those starting out in their career to those innovating and leading the profession.

Award categories for 2023 are as follows:

  • Public Finance Award for Emerging Talent
  • Public Finance Team or Group of the Year
  • Public Finance Professional of the Year

Shortlisted nominees will be invited to attend the CIPFA conference dinner being held at Edinburgh Castle on Wednesday 13 September.  In one of Scotland’s most majestic and historical buildings the 2023 winners will be announced.


Emerging Talent

This award recognises the achievements of student or newly-qualified public finance professional in delivering excellence and clear benefits in their own organisation, one or more other organisations in Scotland, or to the public finance profession as a whole, through working together efficiently and effectively.

Nominations

  • Jack O’Shea, Glasgow City Council

Finance Team or Group of the Year

This award recognises the achievements of a team in delivering excellence and clear benefits in their own organisation, one or more other organisations in Scotland or to the public finance profession as a whole, through working together efficiently and effectively.

Nominations

  • Historic Environment Scotland Finance Team
  • The Scottish Exchequer’s Fiscal Framework Team

Public Finance Professional of the Year

This award recognises the achievements of a public finance professional in delivering excellence and clear benefits in their own organisation, one or more other organisations in Scotland or to the public finance profession as a whole.
