The Health Committee has published a report on the effect of Brexit on health and social care, and has warned the Department of Health that more emphasis needs to be placed on health issues in the negotiations with Brussels.

Over 60,000 people from EU countries outside the UK work in the English NHS and around 90,000 in adult social care. The Committee warned that post-Brexit the country will continue to need, and benefit from the presence of EU staff in health and social care, and the impact of Brexit on the morale 'is concerning and the uncertainty they face is unwelcome'.
