Published on 13 July 2021, the report from the Welsh government provides data on council tax collection rates for the year 2020/21. Welsh billing authorities collected 95.7% of council tax billed, a decrease of 1.3 percentage points. As expected, all authorities recorded a year-on-year decrease in their collection rate, mainly due to the suspension of debt recovery during the COVID-19 pandemic.
