The Welsh government have informed county and county borough councils that they will be sending an e-mail to relevant contacts for the completion of the council tax and non-domestic rates (CTC-2020-21) return. The email is a request for information under section 65 of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 and the attached spreadsheet should be completed and returned by 8 June 2021.
The information will be used to monitor collection rates of council tax and non-domestic rates in Wales for the 2020-21 financial year. Council tax collection rates will be published in a Welsh government statistical first release in June 2021 and, along with information on the collection of non-domestic rates, will be published on the Welsh website.
